Art by Cindy Mohr
Whimsical art depicting various situations that the viewer can often relate to in one way or another. Open for interpretation, each element can easily stand for “ something else”. A drawing usually starts with a circle or line, then springs to life.
Cindy Mohr studied art for many years, earning a Masters Degree in fine arts/ printmaking , on scholarship in 1992. She also studied music; piano, snare drum and cello throughout her formative years.
She’s been a resident of Patagonia, AZ for 26 years and recently began drumming with bands; which has sprung forth a plethora of art work. Other subjects come forth as well; depictions of daily life; experiences with pets , ( especially parrots, cats, dogs); waiting tables, sharing coffee .
Although much of the work is autobiographical, she invites the viewer to make their own interpretation. The objects, emotions, people & places can stand for many things.
